By Supantha Mukherjee STOCKHOLM (Reuters) -Swedish telecom gear maker Ericsson has received a new multi-billion dollar contract for selling 5G equipment from India's Bharti Airtel, two sources familiar with the matter said.

The deal is expected to boost the vendor's revenue in 2025 after Ericsson experienced a decline in contracts from India in H1 2024.

Ericsson demos at India Mobile Congress are being showcased across four clusters built around 5G for Consumers; 5G for Enterprises; 5G and beyond as well as Programmable Networks. 5G and beyond covers the journey towards 6G, wherein the Company is showcasing some of the work being done by Ericsson R&D Centers in the space of AI and Gen AI.
