Orlando theme parks reopen after hurricane while some Tampa-area attractions stay closed
Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort and other theme parks in the Florida city are reopening Friday after shutting down for Hurricane Milton. Some Tampa-area parks, however, remain closed.

On Oct. 9, as Orlando, Fla. awaited Milton's arrival, Disney announced the closure of all of the parks, Disney Springs, transportation, and some resorts, noting that Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa were closed and expected to stay that way until Sunday, Oct. 13.

Are Disney, Universal and other Florida theme parks closing for Hurricane Milton?
The Universal Orlando Resort is closing some theme parks as Hurricane Milton nears landfall. Volcanco Bay will be closed on Oct. 9 and Oct. 10, the company said on Tuesday. Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida is also canceled both of those days.
