Joel Embiid is a little lighter in the wallet after he was fined $75,000 for "making obscene gestures on the playing court" during the Philadelphia 76ers ' victory over the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day, the league announced on Friday.

Philadelphia center Joel Embiid, who fell to the parquet floor during warmups before Wednesday's win in Boston but remained in the starting lineup, was fined $75,000 by the NBA Friday for making obscene gestures during the first half of the road victory.

Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Boston Celtics (on the road) by a score of 118-114. Embiid finished with 27 points, nine rebounds and two assists while shooting 8/15 from the field and 4/5 from the three-point range in 31 mintues of playing time.
