Mumbai Police on Sunday morning shifted the body of slain NCP leader Baba Siddique from Lilavati Hospital to Cooper Hospital, located approximately 8 kilometers away, where doctors will conduct the post-mortem examination.

On Sunday morning, police shifted the body of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique to Cooper Hospital, part of the Mumbai municipal corporation, for a postmortem. Siddique, 66, was fatally shot by three attackers in Mumbai on Saturday.

Throughout his political career, Siddique’s iftar parties became a hallmark of his influence, bringing together political leaders from various parties, Bollywood celebrities, and prominent business figures.

The former Maharashtra minister and three-time Bandra West MLA had quit Congress in February this year, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, and joined the NCP led by deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar

Initial reports suggest that three people fired at Baba Siddiqui outside his son Zeeshan's office in Bandra East. He has suffered three bullet injuries and has been rushed to Lilawati Hospital.

According to the police, he was fired upon by unidentified people and rushed to Lilavati Hospital. Mumbai police have apprehended two persons related to the incident.
