In response to a series of bomb threats over the past four days, Mumbai Airport conducted extensive bomb drills early Thursday at Terminal 1 (T1) and later at Terminal 2 (T2) around 11 am. The drills involved all key stakeholders and security agencies.

An Air India flight from Mumbai to London Heathrow has become the latest target for a string of hoax threats against Indian carriers. Flight AI129 was approaching the Essex coast after a nine-and-a-half flight from the Indian city. It appeared to be descending for a normal landing at Heathrow.

Days after several bomb threats targeting flights were shared on social media, Central intelligence agencies have reportedly traced the IP addresses behind the threats to locations in London and Germany.
