Residents of Florida are still reeling from Hurricane Milton, which made landfall last Wednesday as a Category 3 storm. Causing at least 24 deaths and prompting large-scale evacuations, the storm left the state with widespread devastation.

On a dark night, a fierce storm gave Florida a sharp blow to the head. Less than two weeks later, another tore through its heart.

Hurricane Milton is heading towards the east coast of Florida, and meteorologists predict that the worst is starting to subside. However, coastal flooding is still expected in the Lowcountry through Friday.
