The Carolina Panthers were without their No. 1 receiver for the second straight day this week. After being held out of Wednesday's practice, wideout Diontae Johnson did not participate in Thursday's session.

Thursday evening, the Carolina Panthers released their second injury report of the week and unfortunately for Dave Canales and Co., it got a little longer. The Panthers added left tackle Ikem Ekwonu (elbow),

Eight players, including wideout Diontae Johnson and right tackle Taylor Moton, were held out of this afternoon’s practice. Johnson, per head coach Dave Canales, is expected to be back for Thursday’s session. The team’s leading receiver has been nursing ankle and groin injuries throughout the season.

With a better matchup, Johnson has low-end WR1 upside. In Weeks 3 and 4, Johnson was the WR3 behind only Malik Nabers and Jauan Jennings. At the very least he provides a floor as a solid WR2 options in fantasy lineups. This should be a game where Johnson sees a lot of opportunities.
