Famine is reported to be spreading in Sudan amid relentless war between the military and paramilitary group that devastated the country and created the world’s largest displacement crisis. Global hunger monitor Integrated Food Security Phase Classification said it detected famine in five areas.

The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification, or IPC, said it detected famine in five areas, including in Sudan’s largest displacement camp, Zamzam, in North Darfur province, where famine was found for the first time in August.
