The M5 has been brought to a standstill after a crash involving three vehicles on the southbound carriageway in South Gloucestershire this morning (Thursday, October 17). The crash has seen all traffic temporarily held between the junction with the A38 at Gloucester Road (Aztec West) to junction 17 for the A4018 and Cribbs Causeway.

All traffic was stopped on the M5 following a crash near Bristol this morning (Thursday, October 17). According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, the collision took place heading southbound and involved three vehicles.

Motorists are facing delays on the M5 near Bristol after a five-vehicle crash on the southbound carriageway. Avon and Somerset Police said traffic units were called out at 07:23 BST to the crash between junctions 16 and 17.

There were heavy delays on the M5 Southbound near Worcester following a four vehicle crash between Junction 7 and 8.
