Former South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn will not continue as the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) bowling coach for IPL 2025. However, he will continue to work with the Sunrisers Eastern Cape franchise in the SA20.

Steyn was not a part of SRH’s successful campaign in IPL last year as he made himself unavailable for the campaign in which the 2016 title winners and 2018 runner-up qualified for the final. The former New Zealand bowler James Franklin had filled in for the former South African pacer.

Former South African fast bowler Dale Steyn has stepped down from the position of bowling coach for Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of IPL 2025. Taking to social media, Steyn tweeted that although he won’t return for the IPL, he will continue to work with Sunrisers Eastern Cape in South Africa’s SA20 league.

Dale Steyn has announced his departure from Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he served as the bowling coach since 2022, citing personal reasons. Steyn will continue his role with Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the SA20.

Former India seamer Paras Mhambrey has been appointed Mumbai Indians' bowling coach ahead of IPL 2025. Mhambrey, who had served as MI's assistant coach previously, will work alongside current bowling coach Lasith Malinga under newly appointed head coach Mahela Jayawardene.
