We have barely had time to dry out from Thursday’s severe weather and heavy rain, and we will have another all-hazards severe weather threat with heavy rain on Saturday. Another strong area of low pressure will move out of the Rockies and into the ArkLaTex Saturday morning.

Pleasant weather returns to the ArkLaTex on Friday, followed by another chance for severe thunderstorms on Saturday. Expect some areas of fog to develop Friday morning with temperatures in the 50s at sunrise.

Severe storms are expected anywhere between 11am-11pm with the bulk of the system moving through between 2pm-7pm.

Severe weather is possible for all areas of the ArkLaTex Thursday afternoon into Thursday night. Damaging wind and tornadoes are expected, with a few instances of large hail and flooding. Heavy rain, lightning, gusty winds and a few strong to severe storms are possible on Saturday. Most people in our area won’t see anything severe, but an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out if the ingredients line up.

Dense fog reported over the Causeway Bridge this morning. Lanes are restricted, and speeds are reduced until conditions improve. Devastating storms ripped across Texas yesterday. The forecast called for multiple severe storms to form creating for threats of damaging winds and large tornados.
