Rutgers picked up where it left off in Lincoln with a disastrous first half in which it punted the ball on its first five drives, including four consecutive three-and-outs. It then put together its best drive of the first half, gaining 61 yards in the span of five plays, but it stalled in the red zone after it could not convert a fourth-and-one.
