Ukraine’s incursion into Russia’s Kursk region is now entering its third month, with scores of settlements still firmly under its control.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says the Russians have attempted to push back Ukrainian troops from their positions in Russia's Kursk Oblast, but Ukraine's defence forces are holding their designated lines.

The Russian Army has initiated a powerful counteroffensive in the Kursk region, an area previously occupied by Ukrainian forces since early August. Reports from both sides confirm that Russian troops have made gains,
