Time expired in Ohio State's loss to Oregon on Saturday night when quarterback Will Howard slid just inside the Ducks' 30-yard line.

Howard’s goal was to get enough yardage and keep at least a second on the clock for Fielding. Instead, the clock hit zero, ending Ohio State’s bid to steal a win in front of a record 60,129 fans at Autzen Stadium.

Instead, Howard took off to run and lost track of the time remaining, sliding down just inside the 30-yard line as the clock struck zero. Howard and the rest of the Ohio State players attempted to call timeout immediately, but it was too little, too late.
