The 2024 Magic City Classic Tailgate Festival is scheduled for Thursday and will feature several musicians such as Grammy Award winner Fantasia.

Actor Omari Hardwick will serve as the 2024 Ambassador for the Magic City Classic. Hardwick is best known for his portrayal as James “Ghost” St. Patrick on the Starz hit television series “Power.” He’s also appeared in movies like Zack Snyder’s ”Army of the Dead,” Tyler Perry’s “For Colored Girls,” and the BET series “Being Mary Jane.”

Preparations are already underway for the 83rd Magic City Classic at Legion Field. Those wanting to tailgate showed up early on Monday and folks are still coming out to buy game day tickets. You can also purchase those tickets by clicking here.

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — The upcoming Magic City Classic featuring Alabama State and Alabama A&M has been picked up for national television. The game scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26 at Legion Field will kick off at 2:30 p.m. on ESPNU, and will feature two of the top teams in the league standings heading into a bye week for both teams.

The Rickey Smiley Morning Show” will be live from the BJCC Concert Hall on Friday. According to Derrick Barker, who serves as the operations manager for the show, there will be special attendees at the free event in celebration of the Magic City Classic.
