Polls have closed across Nova Scotia in elections that will see dozens of new faces elected to town and municipal councils, including new mayors for the province's two biggest municipalities.

Voters will have until 7p.m. today to cast their ballot for their next mayor. The results of the Halifax municipal election are expected to be known tonight.
