Kansas City, known for its rich barbecue tradition, is about to gain another accolade — the world’s first museum dedicated to barbecue. Set to open in the spring of 2025, the Museum of Barbecue will celebrate the city’s smoky culinary history and its place in the world of barbecue.

The Museum of BBQ plans a spring opening in Crown Center, according to a release. The space will magnanimously also explore the other three primary regions for barbecue: Kansas City, the Carolinas, Memphis and Texas,
