BOSTON — Sam Reinhart scored on a power play and added a short-handed goal that gave the Florida Panthers the lead for good in the second period as the defending Stanley Cup champions beat the Boston Bruins 4-3 on on Monday afternoon.

Reinhart, playing in his 700th NHL game, gave Florida a 3-2 lead at 9:39 of the second with a short-handed goal. Reinhart stripped the puck from Bruins forward Matthew Poitras, rushed toward the net and fired a shot on Swayman, who made the save. The rebound eventually came to back to Reinhart, who slid it under the Boston goalie.
