The Pakistani military conducted air raids potentially killed dozens while targeting alleged Pakistani Taliban militants in the rural Paktika Province of Afghanistan Tuesday night.

Pakistan confirmed conducting airstrikes on militants' hideouts in Afghanistan, which led to the death of 46 people, including civilians. The Afghan leadership strongly condemned these strikes, labeling them as a violation of sovereignty.

The UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) said Thursday it received "credible" reports that dozens of civilians, including women and children, were killed in airstrikes by Pakistan’s military forces in eastern Paktika province.
